Federal Judge Orders Reinstatement of CISA Employees Following Recent Layoffs

On Thursday, March 20th, a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) in response to recent federal workforce reductions affecting the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). As a result, approximately 130 CISA employees who were dismissed after January 20th have been contacted regarding potential reinstatement. These employees remain on administrative leave while awaiting further developments, with a preliminary injunction hearing scheduled for March 26th. The long-term status of these employees remains uncertain pending the court’s decision.
